Silk Paper String restock, weirdo shipping fixed & more

Silk Paper String
I love this stuff! It’s a very strong fibrous string that has not been twisted or plied – it’s just long, strong, paper-like silk fiber with serecin. What is serecin? Think of it as the glue that holds silk fibers together in the cocoon. Normally serecin is washed out of silk before it is processed. When it’s left in the fiber, you can mist or lightly wet the fiber, then set it with an iron to make things like instant silk paper. Silk that still has its serecin is commonly known as “gummy silk”, even though it feels dry and not at all gummy. It is typically of a courser nature than silk with the serecin removed.
About our shipping…
I discovered a weird problem with the shipping calculator where sometimes one lightweight item would give a shipping charge of a USPS large flat rate box. That was NOT correct! Please, if you noticed something strange like that, drop us a note so we can fix it. I’m pretty sure it’s fixed now.
